Update
Finally an update! As we have just gotten internet service at home again, we are finally able to let everyone know what is happening since we were in St. Louis in October 2006.
Mallory was evaluated-a week long process- and it was confirmed she is in need of and is a candidate for a heart transplant. She was offically placed on the list for a heart transplant on October 12th. She is listed as a 1B, which means she is not the most critical patient, but is also not the least critical. She is right in the middle. Her Doctors in St. Louis have put her on two new medications and are hoping they help her maintain until she can get a heart. She is still reaching her milestones, much to the suprise of Dr. Martin, her Cardiologist in Lincoln, and is her happy little self. We returned to St. Louis on December 18, 2006 for a check up. They did an eEcho and EKG so they could compare it to the last on they took in October. Her heart is a little bit worse but the medication is working well for her. She doesn't tire as easily and and wants to do everything she can. We did find out she is moving up on the national transplant list. Her name has been brought up a few times as the back-up patient if the original paitent couldn't for some reason take the offered heart. Her name was also brought up as first candidate one time but the heart was in Boise, Idaho . Boise was to far away for them to harvest the heart and make it back to St. Louis in time. They are hoping she gets a heart within the next three months.
On January 1st she decided to start walking, and now there is really no stopping her! She continues to be in good spirits. We would like to thank everyone for all the prayers you are sending for Mallory and the family. Now that I know how to do this I will continue to update frequently.

Hi Mallory,
It was so fun to see you walking at church on Sunday. You are so fun to play with. Thanks for sharing your snacks with me. Have a good week and I'll pray for you again tonight...usually God listens to me because He knows if he doesn't, I'll keep asking and asking and asking and asking!
Tickles and hugs,
Sawyer
